The long and busy summer has presumably ended and normal life has resumed. And I could say that the reason my blog has lain unattended is down to my buzziness and that would be largely true. However, I must admit that a troll attack on my Facebook page was another reason. Whatever, I’m now ready to start blogging again faced with a long autumn and winter and knowing I will be spending most of this time caring for my mum in the less than exciting Devon town where we live.

So, if you are a reader of my blog or you bump into it, here are some of the things you can expect to find. Firstly, I did have an eventful summer with a couple of music festivals, a 2000 mile drive round France and a visit to Edinburgh Festival being the highlights. So I intend to write about all of these and you will see that my 64th summer was yet again one to remember. Looking to the future, my birthday present to myself is a trip to Morocco again, to Marrakesh and Essouaira, in the second-half of November. I just felt that reaching OAP age had to be celebrated in a good way.

Other than that, I will write without any events that unfold in my life with reviews of any concerts I see, books that I read or films that I watch, particularly those that I would recommend to you. And occasionally, pushed by their significance, I will write about social economic or political events that, to my way of thinking, impact or might impact on our lives.
All of these will be accompanied by photos and some by videos and bits of music.
